PAESANO’S (Philadelphia, PA)

PAESANO’S

152 W Girard Ave
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19123
(267) 886-9556

Forget the cheesesteaks - family-owned, cheap, and delicious, this Philly sandwich shop is amazing! We cannot recommend this place enough! Seriously, just thinking about it is making our mouths water. Each sandwich is lovingly handcrafted and well worth the wait.

RECOMMENDED:  The Gustaio if you eat meat, The Panelle if you don’t.

THE GREEN OWL (Madison, WI)

THE GREEN OWL

1970 Atwood Avenue

The “only” exclusive vegetarian restaurant in Madison (which is kinda crazy, since it’s a college town).

RECOMMENDED: The chili is awesome. Sandwiches are all really great too.

BURMA SUPERSTAR (San Francisco, CA)

BURMA SUPERSTAR

309 Clement Street
San Francisco, CA 94118-2315
(415) 387-2147

The best food you might ever have. Great veggie and vegan options - super great for a big party (ie the whole band) - but the drawback is the wait time. The key to beating this is putting your name in for a table with your cell phone number. Then go and drink at any of the bars around until they call you (it will be around an hour or two).

RECOMMENDED: Rainbow Salad, Sesame Chicken, EVERYTHING

ZENITH (Pittsburgh, PA)

ZENITH

Honestly one of the neatest dining experiences you’ll have. A converted factory space is now part flea market and part restaurant - amazing vintage decorations and table settings, and a great vegan menu to boot! Menu changes weekly but it’s always unique, veggie-friendly cuisine.

RECOMMENDED: Anything at all!!
